The college’s location in Bangalore exposes students to a diverse patient load, and provides invaluable practical experience. This practical exposure ensures that students are well prepared for real-world medical challenges.There is a continuous flow of patients. KIMS is generally managed through a structured system that includes outpatient department (OPD) and inpatient services. The college has a teaching hospital which serves a large number of patients, and inflows generally include; Patients register after reaching the hospital. They meet with doctors from various specialties, who often require prior appointments for certain departments. Patients may be directed to clinical facilities for testing and imaging. Depending on the diagnosis, patients are either treated in an outpatient setting or admitted for further care. Patients are discharged after treatment with follow-up appointments as needed.
Hostel accommodation is available inside KIMS for both male and female students separately. Also our college hostel provides food facilities and good water supply. There is also a mess on the premises which provides breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner four times daily. The quality of food is quite good and healthy. The fee of KIMS hostel is 1.65 lakhs for MBBS and 2 lakhs for MD/MS. This fee covers the cost of hostel accommodation and access to the mess facility on campus.
