The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (KIITEE), is a national-level engineering entrance examination by the Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT, to get admission to its undergraduate programs in engineering courses. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a deemed university situated in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in the year 1984, VIT is ranked as one of the best engineering institutions in India. KIITEE Exam Age Limit 

The age limit for VIT entrance exams is that candidates should be born on or after July 1, 2003. You should not be older than 21 years by 1st July of the admission year. The applicant must have completed or must be appearing in 2025 in any one of the recognized qualifying examinations like the 10+2 System of Examination of any recognized Board in India and or abroad. In addition, applicants should produce their High School / SSC / X Certificate for verification of age while seeking counseling/admission. Failure to do so leads to disqualification.

KIITEE Exam Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility criteria for VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination) are as follows: General Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Nationality Indian citizens
  2. Date of birth -July 1, 2003
  3. Qualifying Examination:
    – 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board/state board/council.     Candidates appearing in 2025 are also eligible. Specific Eligibility Criteria: For B.Tech Programs
  1. Min. 60 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology.

For Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering:

Special Cases:
  1. NRI/Foreign candidates: Valid SAT/ACT scores or equivalent qualifications.

KIITEE EXAM 2025 REGISTRATION PROCESS

Candidates follow these steps while filling out the KIITEE 2025 application form:

KIITEE EXAM 2025 ADMIT CARD

KIITEE admit card 2025 will be issued to registered candidates on December 20, 2024, as the exam date is January 5, 2025. The KIITEE 2025 admit card will have the candidate’s name, photo, roll number, test venue, and reporting time. It will have to be downloaded from the official website of KIITEE 2025. The KIITEE 2025 registration is now open. Candidates must submit the form by November 30, 2024. Only candidates who have registered for the exam will get the KIITEE 2025 admit card. Candidates must use their KIITEE 2025 registration credentials to download their admit cards. Test takers need to bring two printed copies of their KIITEE admit card 2025. Only a hard copy is accepted at the test center.

KIITEE EXAM 2025 SELECTION PROCESS

  • The KIITEE 2025 selection process should start in March 2025. This will be after the KIITEE 2025 cut-off, set for early February 2025. 
  • Each KIITEE institute has a unique KIITEE 2025 selection process. There is no centralized procedure for it. 
  • Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the selection process. There is no fixed weight for any part of it.
  • Students who took the KIITEE exam and made the final merit list will be invited for KIITEE counseling. The next stage of the selection process will use the KIITEE criteria.
  • It will include a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI). 
  • The final merit list will be based on the candidates’ total scores in all stages of the KIITEE 2025 selection process.
