JEE Main Exam 2024 Age LimIIT

There is no age limit set for JEE Main by the National Testing Agency and candidates can apply irrespective of their age. JEE Main aspirants have to meet a minimum qualification to be eligible for the EXAM.

JEE Main Exam 2024 EligibilIITy CrIITeria

The National Testing Agency sets the eligibility criteria such as academic qualifications, age limit, and the number of attempts. The following eligibility criteria are given below:

• Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or be appearing in 2024.
• Candidates must have studied at least five subjects which include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject, Language, and Any other subject.
• There is no specific minimum percentage required to appear for JEE Main. However, for admission into NIITs, IIIITs, and GFTIs, candidates should have at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
• There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2024. However, candidates must meet the age requirements of the institution they are applying to.
• A candidate can attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years.
• JEE Main is conducted twice a year (January and April sessions). Candidates can appear in both sessions, and the best score is considered for ranking.
• Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.

JEE Main Exam 2024 Pattern

The National Testing Agency set the exam pattern of JEE Main Exam 2024. The mode of the JEE Main Exam 2024 is online (Computer-Based Test) for most papers; and offline for the Drawing Test in Paper 2A (B.Arch). JEE Main Exam is available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, and regional languages. The duration of the JEE Main Exam is 3 hours. JEE Main Exam 2024 has 3 paper sets of B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning. Paper 1 B. Tech has Physics, Chemistry, and Maths and 2 sections of 20 MCQ and 10 Numerical Value Questions per subject Total Marks are 300 +4 for correct and -1 for incorrect. Paper 2 B.Arch has Maths, AptIITude, and Drawing and 3 sections of question total marks is 400 +4 for correct and -1 for incorrect Paper 3 B.Planning has Mathematics, AptIITude, and Planning-Based Questions and 3 sections of questions total marks is 400 +4 for correct and -1 for incorrect. Therefore all papers of JEE Main exam 2024 have +4 marks for correct and 1 negative mark for any incorrect answer.

JEE Main EXAM 2024 SELECTION PROCESS

Based on JEE Main scores, candidates participate in the Joint Seat Allocation AuthorIITy (JoSAA) Selection process. JoSAA manages seat allocation for IITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes.
